Understanding China II
Our two day programme for a truly in depth understanding.
This course covers all the material from THE ONE DAY COURSE but does so over two days with significant additional material covering areas of the Chinese history, philosophy, and the politics of China. These additional elements are not simply bolted onto the course, but are woven throughout the material. The end result is a far more joined-up framework for understanding, with a greater insight into the ‘why’ as well as the ‘what’.
Additional learning outcomes.
In addition to the learning outcomes described in THE ONE DAY COURSE participants will also gain: historical, philosophical and cultural insight into the formation of Chinese attitudes; the significance of the key Chinese principle of ‘harmony’ and how this impacts on every aspect of Chinese society; how to understand what your Chinese counterpart is not saying; the role of symbolism in Chinese culture and practice.
